Open Space Element Update

The City proposes a citywide General Plan amendment to update its existing Parks and Recreation Element and proposes to rename it the “Open Space Element” "Project". The amendment is being prepared in response to Senate Bill SB 1425, which requires local jurisdictions to address equitable access to open space, climate resilience, and rewilding opportunities in the open space element of the general plan.
