Description

CAL FIRE is providing funding to the Sierra Institute for Community and Environment to restore up to 1,305 acres through mechanical and manual thinning and fuels reduction activities, including prescribed pile burning. These treatments will occur within the Plumas National Forest near the communities of Greenville and Crescent Mills in Plumas County and will reduce wildfire risks to local resources and community members, promote native plant and wildlife species, and improve forest resiliency.
