The Mammoth - 218 mile running race

The project consists of approval of a special event permit for “The Mammoth,” an approximately 218-mile ultra-marathon beginning and ending in the Town of Mammoth Lakes and circling the Long Valley Caldera. The event will occur from October 2 through October 6, 2026, with up to 250 runners and approximately 1,500 total attendees, including participants, volunteers, crew members, vendors, and spectators over the course of the event.
