The proposed location for the Monterey Road Wildlife Crossing is in an area with substantial changes in materials and topography. The proposed wildlife crossing is located at the base of Tulare Hill at the confluence of Fisher Creek and Coyote Creek. Rock is shallow below the hill and can be seen outcropping on the hillside and along cuts for Monterey Road and the Union Pacific Railroad.
