Big Steel Pump Station Fire Hardening

The project will replace the District’s Big Steel booster pump station’s roof and walls with fire-resistant materials. The project involves demolition and removal of the existing wood-framed structure and reconstruction with reinforced concrete masonry unit CMU walls, a metal roof, and a perimeter grade beam to support the fire-resistant structure. Fire hardening this booster pump station will mitigate wildfire impacts and improve water supply reliability for the community.
