This project is being undertaken in anticipation of an exceptionally strong El Nino event forecast for the 2026-2027 fall and winter seasons and SBCFCD's Zone 4 documented history of emergency flooding and erosion, washouts, levee breaches, bridge embankment scour, and sediment deposition across various flood control facilities within Zone 4.
