Ordinance No. 26-1502: Short-Term Rental Regulation Update

Ordinance No. 26-1502 repeals two sections of HBMC Title 17 relating to short-term rentals, amends Chapter 3.32 regarding transient occupancy tax, and adds Chapter 5.84 to establish registration, business license, safety, nuisance, and hosting-platform requirements for short-term rentals. The ordinance prohibits STRs outside the Coastal Zone and formalizes post-judgment STR status within the Coastal Zone.
