Mulefat and Coastal Sage Scrub Habitat Restoration (26/27-SD-03)

Native plant communities at Border Field State Park support a broad array of wildlife including the state and federally endangered Least Bell's Vireo and federally threatened Coastal California Gnatcatcher. Flooding and excessive sedimentation have caused a proliferation of non-native invasive weed infestations at that decrease biodiversity and degrade the quality of habitat for nesting and foraging.
