2026 Emergency Overchute Work (Lost Hills)

San Joaquin field division plans to clean overchute 178.57, 179.50, 181.14, 207.18, 214.34, and 234.09 of the main California aqueduct and 7.26 of the coastal aqueduct. To complete this work, staff will use hand tools to remove sediment and debris from the overchutes, dragon teeth, and concrete aprons. A water truck or pump will be used to wash down the overchutes.
