Between October 10-12, 2026, the unincorporated communities of Yucca Valley and Twenty-Nine Palms, San Bernardino County, received between 1.5-2" of rain from Tropical Storm Rachel, which resulted in increased storm flows causing severe channel erosion and sediment deposition within 29 Palms Channel, Hospital Channel, and Church Channel.
